Finding a good personal trainer is a crap shoot. I’ve seen trainers with great credentials be unprofessional and non-attentive, and I’ve seen trainers with no college experience do excellent work. In a city with millions of trainers, why choose me?
Good trainers, like good teachers, are able to communicate. My job is to explain what we’re doing and why so each client can understand and own it. Each workout has a specific purpose, whether it’s improving athletic performance or helping someone connect with their core. With all the available fitness information, it is a miracle more people haven’t seriously injured themselves performing the latest movement they read in a magazine. Effective program design must be tailored to the individual, not the masses. Training smarter is better than training harder.
It is equally important to me that we achieve what we set out to accomplish. I have extremely high expectations for my clients, and strive to help them attain whatever goals we set. Progress is multifaceted, with training being only part of the equation. Permanent lifestyle changes and accountability often yield the best, most consistent results. At times the journey will be difficult, but if it was easy, everyone would be healthy and look great.
