Brian Kent is the owner of BKSTRENGTH, a Nike Chicago Trainer, and a part of the Leadership Council at On Your Mark Coaching and Training. 

Brian is a lifelong martial artist, a former professional baseball player and two-sport Division I collegiate athlete.

PERSONAL TRAINING

The focus is on the individual. Personalized programming includes elements of sport-specific training, core strength, corrective exercise selection, martial art principles, reiki, and efficient movement. 

Workout with a purpose and find success from weight loss and overall lifestyle changes, to improved athletic performance and muscular strength.

TEAM TRAINING

The focus is on developing well-rounded athletes and building the foundation. Hand-eye coordination, body awareness, the ability to move well in a small space, and increased proprioception are major programming pillars for youth sports.

Our small group training sessions are designed around what muscles are intended to do, and how different parts of the body work together to achieve optimum performance.

SELF-DEFENSE WORKSHOPS

Self-defense covers the various ranges of unarmed combat; from kicking range, to punching range, to trapping range, to grappling range. 

The goal is to create situational awareness and implement a basic knowledge of body mechanics, leverage, and martial arts techniques.
